Training: Safety on the Move® - Operator Training
Description & Benefits
This is largely a theory-based course covering topics that include proper operating procedures, applicable regulations, loading docks and batteries. The inexperienced or novice operator will also require additional hands-on operating instruction to master the skills needed to drive a lift truck on the job - this on-site driver training is not included in the standard program but is available if required.
The Safety on the Move® - Operating Training program is CSCSC certified.
The program consists of six modules conducted in a classroom environment:
This portion of the program concludes with a review of the information presented through individual completion of multiple-choice questionnaires. Participants must meet the mandatory 80% class performance standard.
Hands-on operator testing and evaluation is usually conducted in the days following the completion of modules one through six. In this portion of the operator training program, our instructor visits your facility to offer hands-on training and to evaluate trainees on a one-to-one basis for safety practices and driver competency. Certificates are issued to those who meet the standards of theory and hands-on sessions.
Length of Program
The theory portion of the Operator Training program can be completed in 1 day. Completion time for the hands-on operator testing and evaluation varies depending on the experience level of the program participant.
